Tribune Reports On Delinquent Sewer Service Charges!

Have a look; and as of 10:57 a.m.Wednesday, July19, 2017, there were no comments in the common section.

And, in an earlier article, the Tribune explains why:

(On this article, the comments appear oddly truncated.)

There is another Tribune article on this topic, too. Get a cup of coffee (or tea or kombucha) and read them all!

A quote from this last article;
"State fines are likely far down the road. It’s an administrative process that involves quite a few steps, including a notice of violation and then a complaint. And property owners could contest the penalty.
"'In the future, it may be necessary for the water board to exercise its enforcement authority,' Packard said. 'The water board has demonstrated that it is willing to use that authority.'
"County fines for violating county municipal codes start at $100 a day and whether the accused does not respond or takes no action within the month, the fine bumps up to $500 a day."
The meeting where all of this happened can be viewed here:

Look for items 18 and especially 19.

Tribune's Saturday Workshop Article

The Trib has an article on Saturday's sewer lateral open house which you can access here:

My only beef is what did they do to Joe Johnston's photo? It is a pixelated mess! He is an excellent photographer and I hope he is registering a complaint!

Anyway, the creepy king crab leg image of some red-painted machine that Joe has caputured is pretty awesome! Here is what I mean by comparison:

Video of Ox Ditch and Sewer Construction Pix!

Check out the Trib for video and an article on our wastewater treatment plant-in-the-making! If the oxidation ditch (or racetrack) container was complete, the interviewer and the interviewee would be standing in 12 turbulent feet of swirling water (2 feet per second) with floaters! Yikes.

There are also photos of the current construction.

Sewer Opposites Battle on Tribune

The County's sewer project is humming right along, but as with anything sewer in Los Osos, or in this case, tangentially sewer, the dissing by the project's detractors never ends. I always try to correct sewer mis-information wherever I find it. See the link below:
