Mid-Town Site, Graded and Poised to Sprout

Here are some shots that I took yesterday of the Mid-Town restoration. Work was done for the day and it was rather peaceful.

Formerly Known as Tri-W....

......Now known as the Mid-Town site, work has begun on its restoration project. (Top photo from the porch at South Bay Community Center.) No shovel tossing in sight, despite the many protests to this iteration of a sewer project. No it won't be a park, although that possibility exists at a future date. It will be "park-like," with trails to keep the newly planted natives from being crushed by human feet, and a wood fence to keep vehicles out. The restoration is mandated by the Coastal permit and is not a whim of the County, despite what some opine.
