Sad Sewer Tale

Read about it here:
http://www.seacoastonline.com/article/20160809/NEWS/160809319
"....the citizens of Eliot were bombarded with misleading facts and figures meant to discourage and confuse people on the financing and feasibility of the project. The vote failed by a small margin."
Remember our 19 vote disaster? While South Eliot did have a sewer, they made the repair project far more expensive than it needed to be. I hope when our turn for repairs comes, in say 50 years or so, out town will act appropriately. Of course, a lot of us will be underground by then, so let's hope institutional knowledge survives about our sad tale of wasted money and a damaged water supply.

We Delayed and We Paid - or rather, we WILL be paying—for 30 years on one loan and 40 on the other.....
